CODE OF CONDUCT

Poppin Audio is committed to facilitating safe and inclusive events of all types. In order to do so, Poppin Audio requires that all event participants understand and agree to this Code of Conduct in relation to all activities regarding an event in question.

As a contractor or volunteer of Poppin Audio, you are a representative of Poppin Audio when you are at the event you have been scheduled for.  Poppin Audio may take action in its discretion accordingly, and as permitted by law against any individual(s) or group(s) that we believe fails to meet the standards set forth in this Code of Conduct.

Poppin Audio does not  condone inappropriate behaviour of any kind, which includes but is not limited to, any form of verbal, sexual, physical or emotional abuse and/or harm; the use of derogatory or discriminatory language, gestures or actions; and any form of harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia or other targeted comments that are intended to cause personal offense or harm to any persons regarding race, color, creed, gender (including pregnancy, perceived pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, or related medical conditions), gender identity, religion (including religious dress and grooming), marital status, domestic partner status, genetic information, age, national origin or ancestry, military or veteran status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local laws.

Poppin Audio staff and volunteers are essential to the success of each event and to our reputation of work. Therefore, Poppin Audio staff and volunteers are expected to act with professionalism when interacting with artists, patrons, invitees, other company staff, security personnel, and fellow staff and/or volunteers at all times during each event.

The following actions will result in a WARNING, IMMEDIATE EJECTION and/or DISCONTINUATION from the event:

​

  • Offensive or abusive language

  • Obscene or offensive gestures, including the use of offensive imagery and symbolism on banners, signs and other visual tools

  • The participation in an activity that is insulting or harmful to oneself and/or fellow guests

  • Violence or engaging in any harmful behaviour to self or others

  • Damage, destruction, vandalism or theft of any property

  • Disrespecting or damaging equipment or event grounds

  • The possession or sale of illegal substances

  • Creating potential fire risks

 

Any individual who violates this Code of Conduct may be IMMEDIATELY removed from the event space and have their entry and/or parking privileges revoked, without refund. Law enforcement may be notified.

Please contact info@poppinaudio.com if you believe you’ve observed or experienced a violation of this Code of Conduct, and Poppin Audio will work to assess the situation and to respond as soon as possible.  Please keep in mind that notifying us of an occurance does not require or replace a notification to local law enforcement.
